Over the years there have been anywhere between 6 and 10 schools involved with Gluais. The schools come from all around the Lucan, Clondalkin and Celbridge areas and contain a mixture of girl, boy and mixed schools. These schools have been involved with Gluais for many years and without the Co-Operation of the teachers in the schools, Gluais could not be the success it has been to date. The teachers involved with Gluais assist the Gluais Group throughout the year and provide support to all of their activities.

Below are a list of the schools involved along with some information about each school.

The college first opened its doors in 1987, but has a much longer history, as it was built to replace Lucan Vocational School on Esker Hill, which had served the surrounding area since the early 1950s.
